Mrs. Rosemary Hughes, 93, of Blytheville, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

Rosemary was born in Texarkana, Texas to Cecil and Nettie (Holmes) Dupre. She was a lifelong Catholic and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and taught elementary school at Immaculate Conception Catholic School. After teaching, Rosemary was the secretary at Blytheville East Junior High. She was devoted to her church and family and lived every day for others. Rosemary was a talented musician and dedicated her gift of music to her church by playing the organ for children's masses and Sunday's at St. Matthews in Osceola and Immaculate Conception. Rosemary enjoyed playing bridge, reading, and traveling with her friends the "Golden Girls", Betty Pharo, Marcie Simon, and Jean Smith. Rosemary was the bedrock of her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H.H. "Pete" Hughes and former husband, Gerald Paul Guillot; her parents; a daughter, Cecilia Hughes and a sister, Kathryn Felps.

Rosemary leaves eight children, Gerald Paul Guillot, Jr. (Sandra) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Bryant Allen Guillot (Vickie) of Texarkana, Texas, Michael Joseph Guillot (Bobbie) of Texarkana, Texas, Mary Ann Garren of Blytheville, Horace Henry Hughes III (Linda) of Bossier City, Louisiana, Thomas Edward Hughes (Paula) of Jonesboro, John Robert Hughes (Lana) of Blytheville and Edmond Dupre' Hughes (Angie) of Armorel; three sisters, Ann Elizabeth Dupre of Texarkana, Texas, Jane Deal of Houston, Texas and Patsy Camp of Shreveport, Louisiana; nineteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 2 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. T.J. Hart and Deacon Bill Brandon officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rosary beginning at 12:30 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 3 at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Texarkana, Texas.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that any memorials be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
