Patty Helen Watson

Patty Helen Watson, 62, of Manila, passed from this life Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, at her home. Born at Wilson, she was the daughter of the late Sidney William Derwood and Helen Earnestine York Pollard. She was a 1972 graduate of Osceola High School and was well known in the Osceola and Manila area having been employed by Hays Supermarket, Big Star and Fred's dollar store. She had been a Manila resident for 17 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, William James Watson; four brothers, Johnny William Pollard, Jimmy Raye Pollard, Sidney Lyn Pollard and Timmy Lee Pollard; two sisters, Martha Jane Harris and Janet Ruth Smith.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Larry Watson of the home; two sons, Larry Joe Watson and wife Charlotte of Sherwood and Jimmy Dale Watson and wife Katrina of Joplin, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Marijoe Watson of Baxter Springs, Kan.; five brothers, Bobby Wayne Pollard of East Wareham, Maine, Perry Dean Pollard of Bartlett, Tenn., Donald Warren Pollard of Sugar Land, Texas, Dickie Dale Pollard of Sherwood and Danny Joseph Pollard of Somerville, Tenn.; one sister, Penny Ellen Richmond of Pauls Valley, Okla.; and 12 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Matt Pryor officiating. The family will receive visitors Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
