Mrs. Norma June "Oma" Frazer, age 87, died on January 27, 2017 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was born August 14, 1929 in Burdette to the late Razzie and Ida May Chafin. She was predeceased by her siblings, Woodrow, Betty, Eva, and Gerald; husband O.B. and her daughter Lynn Hough (Frazer).

Survivors include grandchildren Chris (Tiffany) Hough, Nathan (Crystal) Hough; great-grandchildren Connor, Margaret, and Molly Hough; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Norma was a life-long Southern Baptist who believed strongly in family and tradition. As a young woman, she worked as a telephone switchboard operator and she retired as a secretary from Agrico Chemical Company. She was an avid reader of mysteries, histories and newspapers and supported or volunteered for the public libraries everywhere she lived -- Blytheville, Heber Springs, Magnolia, and Hot Springs. She was a staunch Democrat who stressed the importance of voting to her family and friends. She will be lovingly missed by her friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with whom she lived during the final years of her life.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Anglican Church in Hot Springs on Wednesday, February 1, at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Marcus Emmons officiating. Burial will be held at the Frazer Cemetery in Hermandale, Mo., on Friday, February 3 at 10 a.m. under the direction of Cobb Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Garland County Library or The Caring Place of Hot Springs.
