Mr. Harry Myers, Jr., 82, of Blytheville, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

Harry was born in Black Rock, Arkansas to Harry and Gladys (Dunlap) Myers. He was raised in the Dyess Colony and moved to Blytheville in his teenage years. As a young man, he worked in retail and founded an appliance store in Blytheville. In 1968, he founded AAA Plumbing Company which he operated until recently selling the business to his son. He was better known for his Bar-B-Que. His cooking benefitted various charities in the region for over 20 years, particularly ESA Sorority, St. Jude, and several area churches and schools. He joined Red Gill in cooking for the 1993 Clinton Inauguration in Washington. Harry was a volunteer with the Blytheville C.B. Squad and served as their auctioneer for many years for their annual auctions. He was member and former deacon of First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Pennington Myers; his parents; sister, Viola Boswell; and brothers, Loren, Richard, and Robert Myers.

Harry leaves his sons, Grant Myers III and wife Debbie of Greenwood, Mississippi, Robert Myers and wife Tracy of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Tim Myers and wife Phyllis of Blytheville, Matthew Myers and wife Kym of Jonesboro, and Doug Myers and wife Karie of Blytheville; sisters, Clara Moody of O'Fallon, Missouri, Iola Smith of Elsberry, Missouri, Delores Faye Hill of Calico Rock, Arkansas, and Norma Hicks of Osceola; brother, Ronnie Myers of Blytheville; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Thursday, January 5th at 11:30 a.m. in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Cobb Funeral Home.
