Norma Jean "Pat" Sullinger Taylor, 74, of Lafe passed from this life Monday, Dec. 26, 2016, at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. Born at Barstow, Calif., she was the daughter of the late Dave and Azalee Dover Sullinger. She was raised in the Evening Star community and had been a Lafe resident since 1970. She was formerly employed by Walmart, was later the owner/operator of the Pizza Palace in Paragould and was a member of the Lafe Baptist Church.

In addition to parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Irvin Taylor; one sister, Betty Marie Sullinger; and an infant son, William Henry Taylor.

She is survived by two sons, David Taylor and wife Terry and Stephen Taylor and a special friend, Tim Glover all of Lafe; two daughters, Cheryl McMurtry and husband Tim and Donna Retherford, all of Lafe; two brothers, Doyne Sullinger of Salem and Jeff Sullinger of California; three sisters, Bonnie Crofford of Forrest City, Judy Niswonger of Salem, and Evelyn Felkins of Jonesboro; 15 grandchildren, Matthew Retherford and wife Liz, Bridgette Prince and husband Nolan, Ryan McMurtry, Erin Rios and husband Ricardo, Davy Sullinger, Nick Abbott and wife Kelsey, Tiffany Meece and husband Shawn, Sean Taylor and Ethan Taylor, Katelyn Retherford, William Retherford, Taylor Retherford, Blake Glover, Austin Glover and Michael Glover; 10 great-grandchildren, Riley, Chloe, Natalie, Alex, Asa, Reagan, Cullen, Lexi, Arden and James; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, at the Lafe Baptist Church with Rev. David Poe officiating. Howard Funeral & Cremation Service in Leachville is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
