David Christopher "Chris" Holt, 58, of Manila, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at his home. Born in St. Louis, Mo., he was the son of the late Artemas Holt and Winnia Lou Williams Holt and had lived most of his life in Manila. He was a 1975 graduate of Manila High School, was a longtime employee of Stracener Brothers Construction, and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herman and Viola Williams, and Clifford and Pearl Holt.

Survivors include his wife, Janna Enis Holt of the home; one son, Jeremy Ballard of Searcy; one daughter, Stephanie Willmuth of Sedalia, Mo.; one stepdaughter, Jennifer Maddox of Leachville; two grandchildren, Zachary Ballard and Maddie Willmuth; three stepgrandchildren, Westin Maddox, Easton Maddox and Brianna Kinsey; five brothers, Phillip Holt (Kay) of Etowah, Kerry Holt (Yangsuk) of Waynesville, Mo., Lyle Holt of Paragould, Kent Holt (Brenda) of Leachville, Bobby Fletcher of Chesterfield, Mo.; one sister, Kemberly Carey of Manila.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Graig Stull officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors Thursday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be Tracy Purser, Larry Perkins, James Eubanks, Jr., Doug McCormick, Scott Misner and Bill Sawyer. Honorary pallbearers included John Rose, Lynn Willmuth, J.R. King, Keith Wallace, and employees of Stracener Brother's Construction.
