Mr. James Henderson Risinger, age 88 of Paragould, went to be with his Lord and Savior, following his death on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. Born on March 9, 1928 in Kennett he was the son of the late Lawrence and Tishie Sissom Risinger and was raised in Cardwell. Following his service in the U. S. Army, he spent many years in Flint, Michigan, where he retired from General Motors after 32 years of service. Upon retirement, he made his home in North Ft. Myers, Florida, before moving to Paragould in 2012. He loved to hunt, fish, work in his garden, and do any kind of handyman work. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wives, 2 brothers, Melvin Risinger and Eddie Risinger, an infant daughter, a daughter, Teresa Risinger, and a son, Ricky Risinger.

Survivors include;

Four sons, Dennis Risinger and his wife, Cindy of Paragould, Gary Risinger of Baltimore, Maryland, Jamie Risinger of California and Butch Risinger of Georgia;

Two step-sons, Larry Holcomb and his wife, Iretha of Paragould, Hershel Holcomb and his wife, Brenda of Flowery Branch, Georgia;

One step-daughter, Karen Beliew and her husband, Larry of Paragould;

Three grandchildren, Dennis Risinger, Jr. and his wife Angela, Josh Risinger and his wife Shelly and Denise Middleton and her husband Chris;

Six great-grandchildren, Reece Middleton, Will Risinger, Makenzie Hampton, Ty Middleton, Bryson Hampton, and Rossy Joe Risinger;

A sister-in-law, Connie Risinger Malone;

Sseveral nieces, nephews and his dogs, Winston and Katie.

Graveside funeral service will be 11am Saturday November 19, 2016 at the Cardwell Cemetery with Rev. Bill McCracken officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville. The family prefers any memorials be made to The Alzheimers Association or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's research.
