Curtis W. "Dub" Henson, Jr.

Mr. Curtis W. "Dub" Henson, Jr., age 80, of Osceola, formerly of Leachville passed from this life Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born in Leachville he was the son of the late Curtis W. and Marie Crafton Henson and was a member of the Leachville Masonic Lodge #689. Mr. Henson was a longtime employee of B.C. Land Co. and later retired from Cotton Growers Gin Co. in Dell, AR. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law George Motley.

His wife of 60 years, Catherine Blocker Henson of the home

Phillip Henson and his wife Sherry of Searcy, AR

Joe Michael Henson and his wife Michelle of Osceola

His daughter, Tammy Carter and her husband Johnny of Deatsville, AL

2 SISTERS:

June Motley of Leachville

Dixie Jo Morris and her husband Vernon of West Helena, AR

He also leaves 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren

Funeral Services will be 1PM Friday, November 11, 2016, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Thomas Naes officiating. Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be Hunter Henson, Joe Gurley, Johnny Carter, Eldon McAnally, Gary Joliff, Johnny Worsham. Honorary pallbearers will include Jerry Crawford, Reggie Collum, M.D., Vernon Morris and Vernon Morris, Jr. The family will receive visitors Thursday evening from 6-8PM at the funeral home in Leachville. The family requests any lasting memorials be made to Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House, 1148 E. Matthews, Jonesboro, AR 72401.
