Everett Edsel Harber

Mr. Everett "Edsel" Harber, 88, of Blytheville passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at his home. He was born in Blytheville to the late Everett and Leona (Sims) Harber. He was an attorney and just celebrated 50 years in the Arkansas Bar Association. He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas and was an avid Razorback fan. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force before retiring as a major. Edsel was a member of the American Legion, the Sons of the American Revolution and the Alumni of the U of A. He was a sponsor of the Special Olympics and was a supporter of the Emergency Response Team and the Arkansas State Police Teddy Bear Program.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant brother, Thomas Edward Harber, sister Betty Ann Harber Shanks and his three brother in-laws, Clause B. Donaldson, Edgar F. Donaldson and George Shanks.

He leaves his wife, Helen Donaldson Harber of the home;

One daughter, Greta (Floyd, Jr.) Harber Fisk of Anchorage, Alaska.;

One brother in-law Allen (Betty) Harvey Donaldson of Tallahassee, Fla.;

One sister in-law Byrd Donaldson of Chincoteague, Va.;

Three cousins, Juanita (Archie) Cook of West Memphis, Warren G. Harber of Sikeston, Mo. And Ben Harber of Ill.;

Two grandchildren, Mallorie Harber Fisk and Nathaniel (Kaylen) Floyd Fisk of Anchorage Alaska;

Four nieces; and

Three nephews.

Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 21, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Robin Moore officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the First United Methodist Church.

The family requests that any memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church.
