Annie Ruth Weeks

Ms. Annie Ruth Weeks, 65, of Leachville passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born in the West Ridge community to the late Raymond and Opal Mouzy Martin. She was raised in the Milligan Ridge and Caraway areas. She was a longtime employee of Caraway Manufacturing and retired from Con-Agra of Batesville in 2004. In 2005, she built her home in Leachville and served as a volunteer at the Monette Nursing Center, where she received the 2008 Volunteer of the Year award. She was also of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Al Humes and sister-in-law Nadine Martin.

Ms. Weeks leaves her son, Greg Carmichael of Brookland;

One daughter, Paula Carmichael-Garner of Leachville;

Five brothers, Veon (Shirley Ann) Martin of Caraway, Paul Martin of Caraway, Carl Martin of Lepanto, Bobby Martin of Leachville and Buddy Smith of Quartsize, Ariz.;

Two sisters, Mildred (Jim) Sellers of Mt. Home and Patricia Humes of Caraway;

Four grandchildren, Zacry Carmichael, Cara Carmichael, Sara Russell and Courtney Garner;

Two great-grandchildren, Amelia Carmichael and Raylee Russel;

Sister-in-law, Waya Martin;

The father of her children, Paul Carmichael; and

Her extended Carmichael family.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Caraway Cemetery with Reverend Rick Stevens officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville. The family will receive visitors from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2016 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Zac Carmichael, Nathan Turner, Randy Martin, Jason Carmichael, Stephen Russell and Ricardo Cordero.
