Franklin Cletus Huckabee

Mr. Franklin Cletus Huckabee, 66, of Caraway, passed from this life on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. Born in Monette, he was the son of the late Hayden and Letha Mae Dawson Huckabee and had been a lifelong resident of Buffalo Island. He was a retired farmer, having been a longtime employee of Lloyd Bibb Farms and Noble Cullum Farms. He attended Milligan Ridge Baptist Church and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Winstead Huckabee in April 2015, four brothers and five sisters.

He is survived by three sons, Todd Huckabee of Caraway, Darian Cunningham and Scott Cunningham both of Nashville, Tenn.;

One daughter, Christina Winstead Pittman of Caraway;

One brother, Travis Huckabee of Jonesboro;

Two sisters, Nina Nickles of Newman, Ga. and Eulamae Chaney of Jonesboro;

15 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 1p.m. Wednesday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with the Reverend Mike Colvin officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers and the family will receive visitors Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
