James Edward Saulsberry

Mr. James Edward Saulsberry, 70, of Blytheville, died Monday, September 26, 2016 in Blytheville. Born April 23, 1946 in Barr, Miss. to the late James E. Saulsberry and the late Callie Davis Saulsberry, he was retired military, serving in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and was a retired entrepreneur. He was also a member of the Northside Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Cloria Mae Patterson, one brother, Gary Saulsberry and one brother-in-law, Willie Bradberry.

Mr. Saulsberry leaves his wife, Ola Mae Stokes Saulsberry of Blytheville;

Four daughters, Starvina Gilmore of Arkansas, Shalakina Weeden of Texas, Americal Saulsberry of Texas and Arthimia Saulsberry of Mississippi;

Two sons, Nakia Saulsberry and Kotrese Saulsberry, both of Mississippi;

One step-son, Walter Rand, Jr.;

Three sisters, Ollie Saulsberry, Anguline Saulsberry Reed, Alva Saulsberry Bradberry, all of Mississippi;

Seven brothers, Marvin Saulsberry, Raymon Saulsberry and Paul Saulsberry of Illinois, Rosell Saulsberry of Iowa, Herman Saulsberry and Calvin Saulsberry of Mississippi and Ronald Saulsberry of Tennessee;

16 grandchildren; and

2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 3, 2016 at the Northside Church of Christ with Bro. Bill Drake officiating. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Monday, October 3, 2016 at the church.
