Mr. Richard Airey Grammer, Jr., 49, of Blytheville, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2016. Born to the late Richard Airey Grammer and Juanita Hall Grammer of Steele.

Mr. Grammer was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed working with wood. He liked to pick up old wood from buildings that had been torn down and he would make something beautiful and useful from it. He also enjoyed fishing and he loved to ride his Honda Goldwing. Additionally he was a proud member of the National Guard and Army Reserve.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by one son Nick Brown, grandparents Tom (who lived to be 100 and rode with the Pony Express), Lavada Griggs Grammer , Lawson and Ruby Nell Hall and two sisters, Connie Grammer and Della Grammer.
He is survived by his mother;

Two sons, Bryan (Victoria) Hatley of Gosnell and Richard Grammer III of Harrison;

One daughter, Mariah Grammer of Fayetteville;

Two brothers, James Lewis and Bill (Lisa) Hall;

Two half- brothers, William Grammer and Ronnie Grammer;

One sister, Theresa Grammer of Gosnell;

Three half-sisters, Luella Grammer Hair, Shirley England and Mary Grammer Wilson, all of Jay, Okla.;

Four grandchildren, Bryan Hatley Jr., Addison Hatley, Haley Brown and Cameron Brown, all of Gosnell; and

One special friend, Cindy Moody of Blytheville.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Carney Funeral Home in Blytheville with Tim Fulks officiating. Burial will follow the services at Carney Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 pm. Until 2 p.m. on Saturday.
