Mrs. Helen Ruth Chism Sporleder, 89, of Benton, Ky. formerly of Luxora and Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Sporleder passed away on August 26, 2016 in Benton, Ky. Born on March 2, 1927 in Hope to the late Frank Lee Chism and the late Mary Elizabeth Bradford Chism, she was a retired employee from Oscar Mayer Meat Factory.

In addition to the death of her parents, also proceeding her in death was her husband, Walter Sporleder; two sons, Jackie Morris and Ricky Don Morris; a sister, Alene Hicks; three brothers, Lee Chism, Charles Chism, and Billy James Chism.

Mrs. Sporleder leaves behind,

One son, Jesse Morris of Benton, Ky.

Eight sisters, Clair Howard and Vivian Watkins of Benton, Ky., Dorothy Light of Oklahoma City, Okla., Charlene Tedford of Cleveland, Miss., Adelle Gresham of Loganville, Ga., Elizabeth Pitts of Columbus, Miss., Vera Jackson and Lela McGarrity of Osceola.

Two grandchildren

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 28 at 3 p.m. in Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola with Bro. Bennie Isom officiating the message. Burial will follow at Mississippi County Memorial Gardens in Osceola. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, August 28 from 2- 3 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola.

Wilson Funeral Homes in Osceola are in charge of handling the services.
