Suzanne Kenner

Friday, July 8, 2016

Mrs. Suzanne B. Kenner, 61, went to be with the Lord on July 7, 2016 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on September 26, 1954 to Martha and Bill Brumbaugh.

Suzanne was a dedicated educator who retired after 31 years of service. She was an active member of the PEO, served on the board of the Haven, thoroughly enjoyed her bridge club and often played the piano at First Christian Church. She loved to travel, both in the United States and abroad, especially in Paris, France. She was playful, flirtatious (in an innocent way), and a free spirit. She loved food and cooking, and even took cooking classes at Cordon Bleu in Paris.

She loved music and shopping, and had a wonderful outlook on life. She enjoyed doing things with her girlfriends, and she loved people in general.

Her Chihuahua, Taffy, has been her constant companion for the past few years. However, her number one passion in life was her son, Justin.

He was her pride and joy.

Suzanne had a positive mental attitude and never stayed down for very long. Her life motto was "don't change other people -- change your attitude toward other people."

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Wayne Kenner of Blytheville;

One son, Justin Bell (and Alicia) of Blytheville;

Two step-daughters: Cheryl Clontz (and John); and Lisa Seals, all of Powder Springs, Georgia;

One brother, Joey Brumbaugh and one sister, Traci Desautels;

Her father: Bill Brumbaugh (and Carol) of Tulsa, Oklahoma;

Her mother, Martha Peterson of Tulsa, Oklahoma;

And a host of friends and other relatives.

A Memorial Service will be held at First Christian Church on July 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Keith Hearnsberger officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Condolences may be offered at www.carneyfuneralhome.com.
