John Henry Hopkins, 83, of West Memphis passed away on July 6, 2016 at his home in West Memphis. He was born on October 23, 1932 in Jonesboro to Cypert Jenkins and Bessie Thompson. He served in the United States Air Force, and afterwards served as a dry cleaning operator. He was of the Baptist Faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Cyper Jenkins and Bessie Thompson;

His wife, Lawanda Sanders Jenkins;

And four sons.

He is survived by his three daughters, Linda East of Walnut Ridge, Shelia Jenkins of Jonesboro, and Deborah Nally of Kentucky;

Four sons, Gary Boytt of Missouri, John Lee Jenkins of Kentucky, Robin Jenkins of West Memphis, and Tracy Jenkins of Missouri;

One brother, Albert Jenkins of Joplin, Missouri;

And 13 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

The visitation will be held on July 9, 2016 at noon and will last until 2 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza. The funeral will be held on the same day after the visitation at the Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza. The burial will be at the Marked Tree Cemetery in Marked Tree. Brother Richard Jenkins will serve as the officiating minister. Wilson Funeral home Tyronza is in charge of all funeral services.
