Franklin Delano "Wimp" Kisner, 82, of Leachville, died Thursday, June 23, 2016, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Leachville he was the son of the late Noah and Virgil Allen Kisner and was a 1952 graduate of Leachville High School. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, Frank later retired from Bethlehem Steel in Burns Harbor, Ind. He lived many years in Lake Station, Ind., where he served on the volunteer fire department before returning to Leachville upon his retirement in 1996.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Kisner, in 2013; one son, Michael Kisner, and one brother.

He is survived by two sons, Jackie Kisner of Leachville and Dewayne Kisner of Lake Station, Ind.; one daughter, Lori Hart of Portage, Ind.; three brothers; John Kisner of Black Oak, Eric Kisner of Leachville and Charles Kisner of Little Rock; four sisters, Penny Johnson of Jonesboro, Charlotte Marlow of Indianapolis, Ind., Virginia Austin of Little Rock and Imogene Taylor of Atlanta, Ga. He also leaves five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Mark Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will include Tony Squires, Jeff Hughes, Drew Valdez, Anthony McCarty, Chuck Kisner and Chuck Kisner, Jr.
