Jerry W. Richey, 71, of Blytheville, Arkansas, passed away June 7, 2016 at the St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born August 12, 1944 in Lake City, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Woodrow and Maggie Wade Richey and had been a longtime area resident. Mr. Richey was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR, wrestling, football and baseball especially the Cardinals.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Dallas Richey.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Jackie Richey of the home;

One son: Bobby Burch ( Sandra) of Blytheville, Arkansas;

Brothers: Bobby Richey, Clifton Richey, and Larry Richey (Dorothy) all of Trumann, Arkansas and Ronnie Richey (Sharon) of Bay, Arkansas;

Sisters: Louetta Carner of Lake City, Arkansas and Jeanetta Richey of Trumann, Arkansas;

Grandchildren: Mickle Allen Kaulfurst of Nashville, Tennessee, Amanda Freeman of Texas, Dana Kaulfurst of Blytheville, Arkansas;

Great-grandchildren: Caden Freeman, Carson Freeman, Cohen Freeman, Ezra Kaulfurst and

A special great-granddaughter: Adylen Grace Privett. Mr. Richey also leaves a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 10, 2016 at 2:30pm at the Refuge General Baptist Church in Lake City, Arkansas with Pastor Gary Hyde officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland, Arkansas with Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive visitors Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00pm at the church. Pallbearers will be Robert Wyatt, Gary Richey, Jake Gilley, Clarence Dale Easter, Joseph Dodd and Dallas Lynn Richey. Honorary Pallbearer will be the Mississippi County Sherriff, Mr. Dale Cook.
