Darrel Glen Levins

Darrel Glen Levins, age 77, of the Finch community near Paragould, died Sunday, June 5, 2016, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Paragould, he was the son of the late Ernest and Retha Baugh Levins and was a 1958 graduate of Greene County Tech. A lifelong resident of the Finch area, he was a retired farmer and longtime member of the Finch Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, Sunday school teacher, and in many other capacities over the years.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Brummett Levins, two sisters, Flossie McMillan and Clevie McMillon.

Survivors include a son, Darrel Glen Levins II, of Jonesboro; two daughters, Cindy Cross and her husband, Tom, and Suzanne Frahler and her husband, Aaron, all of Paragould; two brothers, Gerald Levins and Bill Levins, both of Jonesboro; sister, Ernestine Hochstetler of Georgia. He also leaves three grandchildren; Rhett Frahler, Zakk Frahler, and Alicia Frahler, and a great-grandson, Liam Frahler.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, at the Finch Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Gage and Rev. Terry Songer officiating. Burial will follow in the Finch Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from noon until service time at the church.
