Sidney Lee Thompson

Sidney Lee Thompson, 53, of Leachville, passed from this life Monday, May 30, 2016, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in East St. Louis, Ill., he was the son of the late Sidney Albert and Lucille Marilyn Wills Thompson and had been a Leachville resident since 1993. He was a welder for Southworth Products Corporation in Manila for the past 11 years and enjoyed spending his off time with his family, riding his motorcycle, and working in his yard. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Mike Rivoire, Joe Rivoire, Daryl Rivoire, and Bill Thompson.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Mylinda Bryant Thompson of the home; two sons, Christopher Clark of Paragould and Dustin Clark of Leachville; two daughters, Christina Clark and Tiffany Thompson Lasater, both of Leachville; a brother, David Thompson of Collinsville, Ill.; six sisters, Rosemary Gonzales of Fairview Heights, Ill., Gloria Lutes of Troy, Ill., Lucille Grant of Belleville, Ill., Trina Rayoum of Trenton, Ill., Debra Adams and Linda Rivoire, both of Belleville, Ill. He also leaves 12 grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday June 2, 2016, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Mark Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Dylan Clark, Dustin Clark, Christopher Clark, D. J. Reed, Shane Lasater, and Scottie Fleeman.
