Charles "Chuck" Tice, 73, of Blytheville, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015 at his home.

Born to Frederick and Mildred C. Tice, Chuck was the Postmaster at the Armorel Post Office for many years. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church and was also a faithful deacon in serving his church. Chuck's faith and relationship with God would get him through any challenges he faced in life. Chuck was a resident of Blytheville for 36 years and loved the community. It was a great honor to Chuck to be involved in the community, as well as volunteer. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Armorel-Huffman Fire Department, First Response, a CPR Aid Trainer, and a member of the Life Force Team. He was also member of the American Legion and TAPS. During the holiday season, Chuck would make sure all of the Christmas lights downtown were up and working. He served as the Vice President on the Board of Directors for the Lights of the Delta. Chuck strived and took great pride in making Blytheville a better place to live.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Robert Tice.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 44 years, Shelby Jean Dunaway Tice of the home;

Daughters, Rebecca Tice "Becky" Cooper and her husband Rodney of Dell, and Debra Jo Tice-Hughes of Philmont, N.Y.;

Grandchildren, Branden Cooper of Dell, Lolana Joleen Hughes of Philmont, N.Y.;

"Adopted granddaughter", Rachel Fulford Pass of Smyrna, Tenn.;

Brothers and sisters-in-law, Deanna and Doug Cobb, Sandra and Frankie Novobilski, Lois Dunaway Burtram, Lloyd and Virginia Dunaway, Anna and Marlon Fox, Jasper and Gerri Dunaway, Paula and Gannett Portwood, Trisha and Hank Henson, Nickie and Sue Dunaway, Irene Dunaway Allen, Larry Dunaway, Jimmy Dunaway, Lynn and Tom Curtis, and Anderson and Nicole Fulford;

Cousin, Elizabeth Slutzky of Windham, N.Y.;

Niece, April Seney of Greenbush, N.Y.; and

A host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 3,, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church Sanctuary with Rev. Justin King officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until service time at the church.
