Ms. Alma Jean Clark Oates, 69, of Fort Walton Beach Fla. passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 15, 2015 at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. Born on March 20, 1946 in Corinth, Miss. to the late Clara Mae Patterson Clark and the late Thomas Clark, she grew up in Blytheville.

Her Christian faith was non-denominational, which she confessed as a young woman. She loved being a hair stylist and enjoyed her flower gardens, watching television and reading.

Alma Jean will forever be remembered by four brothers, Ernest (Hazel) Clark of Blytheville, Charles (Judy) Clark of Oklahoma City, Okla., Thomas Clark of Dallas, Texas and Michael Clark of Blytheville;

Two sisters, Mae Emma Glanton of Blytheville and Mrs. Peggy (Lester) Copeland of Willingboro, N.J.;

One son, Herrod Claybooks, III of Blytheville;

Four daughters, Jacqueline Claybrooks of Blytheville, Trena (Alex) Tuck of Fort Worth, Texas, Sahara (Brian) Washington of Mobile, Ala. And Ashley Oates of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.;

Twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, other family members and close friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 28, 2015 at Faith and Glory Fellowship. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Gardens. The family will receive visitors from noon until 1 p.m. on Monday, December 28, 2015 also at Faith and Glory Fellowship.
