Jacob David Robins

Jacob David "J.D." Robins, 72, of Leachville, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, at the Pocahontas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A lifelong Leachville area resident, he was the son of the late Hadley and Lena Harris Robins and attended Leachville High School. He later served in the United States Marine Corps and worked in construction and as a farmer. J.D. was an outdoorsman, enjoyed fishing and trapping, and was a longtime member of the Leachville Second Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Hadley Robins Jr., Robert Robins, Larry Robins and Timothy Robins.

Survivors include the mother of his children, Brenda Robins of Leachville; two sons, Jeffrey Robins of West Plains, Mo., and Jonathan Mark Robins of Monette; a daughter, Jennifer Robins of Pocahontas; one brother, Thomas "Tom Dewey" Robins of Calico Rock; five sisters, Dorothy Reid of Monette, Virginia Miller of Monette, Peggy Herring of Warren, Mich.; Nancy Goddard of Conyers, Ga., and Sharon McCord of Monette; nine grandchildren, Cassi Robins, Angel Robins, Jacob Robins, Patrick Greene, Brett Robins, Brenden Robins, Brady Robins, Leo Bergman and Charlie Bergman; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery in Paragould. The family will receive visitors Wednesday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home. Guest register: www.howardfuneralservice.com
