Dorothy Brooks

Mrs. Dorothy Jean Brooks, 59, of Smithville, Ark., died Friday, October 23, 2015 in her home. Born September 20, 1956 in Chicago, Ill. to the late James Hammond and the late Mattie Fay Hammond, she was a homemaker and a member of Clear Springs Baptist Church.

Mrs. Brooks leaves her husband, Dennis Brooks of Smithville, Ark.;

Three daughters, Brandy (Kyle) Boyd of Smithville, Ark., Cindy (Alan) Underwood of Caraway and Chasity (Tom) McCaffrey of Paragould;

One son, Dennis (Linda) Brooks, Jr. of Manila;

Five sisters, Melinda Owens of Lepanto, Shelia Villigas of Manila, Peggy Sue Brewer of West Ridge, Pennye Carter of Monette and Jackie Hardin of Memphis, Tenn.;

Two brothers, James Bud Hammond of West Ridge and Marty Ward of Memphis, Tenn.;

Twelve grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Caraway Cemetery with Bro. Rowdy Morgan officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola.
