Roger Pemberton
| Roger Dale Pemberton, 63, of Leachville, formerly of Monette, passed from this life October 8, 2015 at the NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. Born at Monette, he was the son of the late George "Shot" and Mildred Redding Pemberton and had been a lifelong area resident. |
He was a 1970 graduate of Leachville High School and was a retired recruiter for the Arkansas Army National Guard. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a Christian.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Pemberton and one sister, Linda Cash as well as his dog, "Sparky".
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Debby Thomas Pemberton of the home;
Four sons, Earnest Shirley and his wife Jennifer of Paragould, Brandon Pemberton and his wife Julie of Lawrenceville, Ga., Roger Dale Pemberton, Jr. of Batesville, and Buddy Carmichael and his wife Krystal of Monette;
One daughter, Stacey Willis and her husband Paul of Lawrenceville, Ga.;
Two brothers, Robert Pemberton and David Pemberton;
One sister, Wanda Parrish; and
12 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Rick Ethridge officiating. Burial will follow at the Leachville Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
