Blytheville School District needs to be revamped

Friday, September 4, 2015

To all "ATWELL" worshipers, read this:

As I said in this paper on April 15, 2015 that the school system in Blytheville needs to be revamped starting with Supt. Atwell on down. Now the report is out that:

The schools must now hire either full or part-time school improvement specialists.

They also must evaluate their school and district leaders, submit to state monitoring and take other steps over time to raise student performance.

Why is it that Blytheville Middle School 6-8 grade and Blytheville High School 9-12 grade is on this list with the lowest achieving 5% Schools in the State?

Is it maybe that Atwell needs to learn from a real leader like from nearby Armorel or even Gosnell of which is not on this list of lowest performing schools in Arkansas.

Of the 46 lowest performing schools in Arkansas, Blytheville comes in respectively at numbers 17 & 18. To be removed from Arkansas' lists, the labeled schools must meet annual achievement goals for two consecutive years. Do you parents really trust this guy for another two years as the superintendent of 2 poor performing schools, AGAIN?

All the while he collects a fat paycheck and benefits while the students are the ones losing and won't be able to go to college but maybe to a local factory once out of school, since no college will take them due to their poor school grades. But as usual Atwell will place the blame not on himself but on the parents that it's their fault for not teaching their children right from wrong as he did before.
