Wayne Lloyd MIfflin

Wayne Lloyd Mifflin, 85, of Manila, died Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Manila, he was the son of the late Alfred and Esther Moore Mifflin and was a graduate of Childress High School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and had worked as a young man on the family farm. Wayne later retired from Monroe Automotive in Paragould where he worked as a shipping clerk for many years. He was a longtime member of Community Methodist Church near Manila.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine Doty.

Survivors include: one brother-in-law, Robert Doty, of Cordova, TN;

One niece, Elizabeth Argo and her husband, Vance of Franklin, TN;

One nephew, Mike Doty, and his wife, Michelle, of Somerville, TN;

Wayne also leaves two great-nieces and four great-great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2015 in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel at Manila with Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery.
