James "Jim" Edward Spencer, 80, of Black Oak, Ar., passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at his residence.

Born to David and Thelma Spencer on November 29, 1934 in Denton, Mo., Mr. Spencer was retired from Michigan Bumper. He also served in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War veteran. Mr. Spencer served 24 years on the Black Oak, Ar. city council and was a member of Baptist Faith church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Cook is preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Sommers and Helen Kelley; and one brother Jack Spencer.

Mr. Cook is survived by his wife Ester Bell Spencer, of Black Oak;

Daughter Jimmie Sue Spencer, of Black Oak;

Three step daughters, Sissy "Steve" Choals, of Osceola, Linda Potts, of Black Oak, Yvette "Bob" Travis, of Wyoming, MI.;

Son Eddie "Debbie" Spencer, of Black Oak;

Three step sons Gary "Wilma" Isbell, of Jonesboro, Kenny Potts, of Broman, MI., and Danny Potts, Bittley, MI.;

Thirty-two grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. following visitation with Rev. Larry Griffin officiating. In Lieu of flowers, please make a donation to First Assembly of God church in Black Oak, Ar.
