What pride is there in being ranked

Arkansas' #1 worst city?

What's the gain in refusing to help law enforcement

arrest the culprits of showing no-pity?

Why must a place that's predominantly the minority

keep itself in shame?

Why must the young take each other's life,

neglecting the art of reasoning and using their brain?

Why are there over 120 churches

unable to unite for taking a stand?

Why blame the governing officials

when many citizens refuse to lend a hand?

How many more lives

must be untimely taken?

How many more tears

must be shed and homes shaken?

Many offer prayers of faith

but that alone won't bring about change

It begins when enough is enough and we set out doing good,

which in these days seem strange

Violence is never the answer

in a place that is considered home

Once the trigger is pulled

you can never right such a deadly wrong

Let's work together as a family

and not fight this nonsense divided and alone

In doing so we'll succeed in peace

so there will be no more dead and gone
