James Wesley Green, 70, died Sunday, August 2, 2015, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015, at 12:00 p.m. at Meadow Brook Baptist Church with Bro. Oscar Geeslin officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Meadow Brook Baptist Church. Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Green was born June 29, 1945 in Thornton, AR to the late Claude and Lena Green. He attended Arkansas State University on a baseball scholarship where he graduated with a Bachelor in Business. He loved serving the Lord at Meadow Brook Baptist Church. The greatest passion in his life was the family business he started 25 years ago, Valve Teck, Inc. Mr. Green loved outdoors and kept an immaculate yard. He had a love for animals like no other, and will be remembered as a great husband, dad, friend, and mentor. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary C. Green.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jan B. Green of Olive Branch, MS;

A daughter, Lisa Williamson and her husband, Ben of Collierville, Tenn.;

A son, John Green of Olive Branch, Miss.; and

His beloved dog, Shelby.
