I believe, as I've said here before, in life as a seasonal experience. There are seasons of joy and seasons of sorrow, seasons of productivity and seasons of forced idleness, seasons when it feels like everything withers and dies on the vine...and then there seasons of new life, when everything is growing, adapting, moving, turning on a dime, and changing before your eyes. I think it's this cyclical quality of nature that causes us to sometimes say things like, "it's just one bad thing after another these days," or "I'm so busy I just can't seem to catch my breath today." If life were more balanced we would have far less occasion to comment on its eccentricities.
