Alvin Dewayne Wilbanks

Alvin Dewayne Wilbanks, 58, of Mexico, Mo., died of heart failure on Saturday, April 4, 2015, at University of Columbia Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Born May 4, 1956, in Paragould, he was a retired inventor engineer and a Pentecostal.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Leann Wilbanks; and his son, Brian Christopher Wilbanks.

Mr. Wilbanks leaves his parents, Pastor Alvin Wilbanks and Dorothy J. Wilbanks of Osceola, and Ruby Cox and Joe Cox of Memphis;

Three daughters, Kelly Diane Stroud of Biloxi, Mississippi, Tiffany Renae Shrader of Mexico, Mo., and Brittany Gayle Wilbanks of Tyronza;

Three sons, Alvin Dewayne Wilbanks Jr., Cayden Nicholas Shrader and Kylan Michael Brewer, all of Mexico;

Six brothers, Randal Wilbanks of Memphis, Mark Alan Wilbanks of Osceola, Alvin Wilbanks Jr. of Kennett, Kevin Wilbanks of Indianapolis, James Wilbanks of Dyersburg, Tennessee, and David Wilbanks of Wilmington, Deleware; and

Ten grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from noon-2 p.m. Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Tommy Wilbanks, will begin following visitation. Burial will follow at Garden Point Cemetery in Etowah.
