William "Bill" Lindsey

William "Bill" Erskine Lindsey of Falmouth, Ky., formerly of Manila, Ark., passed away Monday, Feb. 23, 2015, at St. Elizabeth, Edgewood, Ky. He was the son of L.B. and Audie Mae Lindsey. He was a short and long distance truck driver for over 45 years and a teamster.

Preceding him in death was his father, mother and grandson Cody Purser.

He is survived by his wife, Linda (Powell) Lindsey of Falmouth, Ky.; son, Tracy (Pam) Purser of Manila; stepdaughter, Kimberly (David) Abrams of Goshen, Ohio; granddaughter, Chyanne Purser; stepgranddaughters, Ashley Spradlin and Morgan Abrams; great-granddaughter, Madison Malone, and great-grandson Jasper Booker. He is also survived by four brothers and two sisters, James Mansley of Water Valley, Miss., Jerry Lindsey of Manila, Christine (Howard) Cross of Keiser, Rethia Mae (John) Hoskins of Keiser, Tommy (Robbie) Lindsey of Water Valley, Miss., and Lee Lindsey of Walls, Miss.; several nieces and nephews and extended family.

Visitation was from 2-4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, at Woodhead Funeral Home in Falmouth, Ky. The funeral followed at 4 p.m. with Bro. Clay Sullivan officiating.

Interment was in Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth, Ky.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., or Southside Christian Church, Falmouth, Ky.
