Ardis Mae Van Buren Ray

Mrs. Ardis Mae Van Buren Ray, 89, of Blytheville, passed from this life on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2015, at the Heritage Square Nursing Home in Blytheville.

Born to John and Irene Rodesiler Van Buren in Deerfield, Michigan, she was a resident of Blytheville most of her life. Mrs. Ray was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who dearly loved having her family gathered all around her whenever possible.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin Lee Ray; a son, Bill Barget; six siblings; and recently, by her son-in-law, Dennis Henson.

Mrs. Ray is survived by her children, Joe and Barbara Barget of Blytheville, David Ray of Blytheville, Patricia Collins of Panama City, Florida, Theresa "Terri" and Chuck Dillman of Ozark, Missouri, Neoma "Cissy" and Marion Conner of Birmingham, Alabama, Rachel Elliott of Blytheville, Becky Henson of Blytheville amd Kathy and Rudy Young of Gosnell; and

Numerous, beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Same-day services will be Saturday, with the family receiving friends from 10-11 a.m. and funeral services beginning at 11 a.m., both in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Mike Welch will officiate and graveside committal will take place at Horner Cemetery in Hornersville, Missouri, following the services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Trinity Baptist Church.
