Jeffery Allen Avery

Jeffery Allen Avery, 49, of Blytheville, passed away at home on Thursday evening, Feb. 19, 2015.

He was born on Aug. 31, 1965, in Blytheville to Jimmy and Pat Stubbs Avery. He had been employed with American Greetings for several years. He was a Christian and attended Grace Life Church in Blytheville.

Mr. Avery enjoyed life and sharing it with others. He liked barbecuing, and he was a sports fan -- baseball (especially the Cardinals ... when they were winning!), basketball and football. He was an easygoing person, "rolled with the flow," everything was all right and always had a smile on his face. He loved his family and was a good father. He loved his church, good preaching and good singing! He grew up listening to a band out of Mississippi called "David and The Giants" and still enjoyed listening to them.

He is survived by his daughters, Sara Avery and Michele Avery, both of Blytheville;

His parents, Jimmy and Pat Avery of Blytheville;

One brother, Mark and Marsha Avery of Star City;

Three nephews, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and

His best friend, his dog, Jasper, his constant companion.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Carney Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Shane Spears officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Carney Funeral Home.
