Zellaner L. Kuykendoll McCullough

Zellaner L. Kuykendoll McCullough was born on Jan. 14, 1922, in Cypell, Arkansas, to the late Charlie and Beatrice Smith. She departed this life at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, at her home, surrounded by her daughters.

Zellaner was raised in Cypell and moved to Steele, where she married James Kuykendoll. God blessed them to be together for 40 years and they were the proud parents of 11 children.

In the early 1970s, she married the Rev. P.M. McCullough. Zellaner accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Mount Zion MB Church in Hayti for 15 years. She served the church faithfully in the following capacities: mother board, choir member and church secretary. In 1970, she moved and united with the New Bethel MB Church in Blytheville. Zellaner served faithfully as a choir member, on the mother board and as a pastor aide.

Zellaner was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Beatrice Smith; her loving husbands, James Kuykendoll and the Rev. P. M. McCullough; her son, Charles Kuykendoll; three brothers, Jessie "Babe" Smith, Charlie "Buddy" Smith and Blair "Fat" Smith; and one sister, Della Mae Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Perry (Patricia) Kuykendoll of Elkhart, Indiana, Edith (Joe) Mack of South Holland, Illinois, Ruby Johnson of Blytheville, Henry Kuykendoll of Hayti, Marva (Charles) Martin of Florissant, Missouri, Verdia (Bridgett) Kuykendoll of Hayti, Wendy (Pastor Robert) Dennis of Blytheville, Wayne Kuykendoll of Caruthersville, Beatrice Kuykendoll of Denver, Colorado, and Amos (Joann) Kuykendoll of Dolton, Illinois;

One brother, Melvin Webb of Hot Springs, AR; and

Thirty grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
