Mr. Terry L. Burton, 51, of Blytheville, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.

Born Feb. 16, 1963, to Eddie Reed Burton and the late Leo B. Burton, he was a graduate of Blytheville High School and a veteran. He accepted Christ as his personal savior at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church. He was a custodian and maintenance worker at Mississippi County Arkansas Economic Opportunity Commission. "Mr. Burton," as he was affectionately called, was a handyman, fixing almost everything, and a good cook. Everyone knew who to call when you needed something cooked for events and gatherings.

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Eva Mason, other grandparents, and two brothers, David and Calvin.

Mr. Burton leaves one daughter, Leterica Burton;

Seven sisters, Teretha Dickerson of Gary, Indiana, Clara (Perry) Addison and Eva Burton, both of Milwaukee, and Janice James, Etter Wilkes, Angela (Doyle) Johnson and Sherrie (Fredrick) Clay, all of Blytheville;

Four brothers, Eddie (Jill) Burton of Memphis, Robert (Estella) Burton of Osceola, Dennis (Ernestine) Burton and Gregory (Jacqueline) Burton of Blytheville;

Three grandchildren, Kei'mauri, Dikeeye and Kayden; and

A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Anthony burton officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church.
