Robbery at Stop and Buy

At approximately 4:20 a.m. Saturday, officers of the Blytheville Police Department responded to the Stop and Buy Food Mart located at 3701 South Division in reference to a robbery call, according to assistant chief Ricky Jefferson. "The Clerk advised that a tall male subject with a light complexion wearing checkered shorts, white T-shirt and cowboy boots had taken a small amount of cash from the cash register when she opened it," Jefferson said. "The male subject fled from the scene driving a silver Ford with a temporary tag in the window, headed south on highway 61 toward Osceola." The subject was apprehended a short time later by Osceola Police Department and identified as Larry Perkins, 48, from Osceola. He was charged with Breaking or Entering and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He is currently awaiting arraignment.
