Emma Jean McGrew

Emma Jean McGrew, age 76, of Manila, passed from this life, Saturday Nov. 29, 2014, at her home. Born in Arbyrd, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Julia Elizabeth Jackman and was a 1957 graduate of Arbyrd High School. She had lived in Indiana for 37 years before returning to Manila in 1994.

In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by a son, Darryl McGrew.

She is survived by her husband, Dale McGrew of the home; a daughter, Julia Mae Braun of Crown Point, Ind.; a sister, June Hoskins and her husband Bob of Piggott; four Sister-in -Laws, Carol Yarbro, Linda Crouse and her husband Bernard, Katie McGrew, Laverne Shipley and her husband Charles; a brother-in-law Jerry McGrew and his wife Patsy. She also leaves five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Reverend Andy Andros officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from noon until service time at the funeral home.
