Linda Sue May, 68, formerly of Nesbit, Mississippi, passed away Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Desoto.

She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Hernando, Mississippi, but regularly attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Blytheville. She is a graduate of Memphis Technical High School, was a former housewife, a payroll clerk for May-Cotton Big Star and an office manager at Hernando Hills Country Club. She enjoyed competing in the State Senior Olympics in Arkansas, Tennessee and Mississippi, sewing, writing and reading poetry, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Pirtle and Opal Clark; and a son, David May.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dallas May;

Her children, Susie Sadler of Southaven, Mississippi, Sherry Hollis (Lane) of Cave Springs, Arkansas, John May (Emily) of Hernando, Mississippi; Lynn Moore (Wayne) of Nesbit and Beth Anderson (Andy) of Hernando

A daughter-in-law, Mandy May of Southaven; and

Eighteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from noon-2 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Hill South Funeral Home, with services to follow at 2 p.m., at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Forest Hill South Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to LeBonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis.
