Ricky Joe Philhours

Ricky Joe Philhours, 61, of Leachville passed away Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Leachville he was the son of the late Willis and Eva Mae Wicker Philhours and had been a lifelong Leachville resident. He was a 1971 graduate of Leachville High School and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. He was a longtime employee of St. Bernards Medical Center Home Health Department and a member of Second Baptist Church in Leachville.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Harold Wayne Philhours.

He is survived by one brother, Jim Philhours of Jonesboro; three sisters, Gail Newman of Bartlett, Tenn., Faye Pittman of Millington, Tenn., and Joyce Brown of Leachville.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. David Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
