Petra Rode Baugh, 55, died Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, at her home in Gosnell.

Born to Heinz and Rosemarie Reinhardt in Friedburg, Hessen, Germany, she was an area resident for several years and of the Lutheran faith. She was the owner/operator of Petra's This and That store in Gosnell and loved to go to flea markets and search for unusual items for her business. She was also a Red Cross volunteer and an Avon representative.

She loved gardening and her love for cooking was a talent that many received the pleasure to sample, and her "specialty" was "Petra's Potato Salad." She also loved meeting people and was a generous individual who was always thinking of others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Gerlinnde Rode.

She is survived by her husband, Freddy Baugh of Gosnell;

Her children, Jennifer Waters of Louisville, Kentucky, Jessica Baugh of Gosnell and Kevin Baugh of Memphis;

Her grandchildren, Kirsten Whetstone, Donald Trusty Jr. and Michael Trusty;

A brother, Michael Rode of Bad Nauheim, Germany; and

A sister, Claudia Rauhuff of Killeen, Texas.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4 at Petra's This and That Store on Airbase Highway in Gosnell.

There will be no visitation, and Cobb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
