Idabel Reeves Pollard

Mrs. Idabell Reeves Pollard died Friday, Sept. 19. 2014, in Lubbock, Texas.

Born Jan. 15, 1919, to the late Lillie Sessal Rose Reeves and William Arthur Reeves, she worked as assistant personnel director at Randall Company in Blytheville for 26 years. She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Blytheville for 52 years and taught bible school and Sunday school for over 35 years. She joined Redbud Baptist Church in Lubbock, Texas, in 2009. Her faith was evident to all until her last days.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Wayland Pollard; two brothers, Edward (Bess) Reeves and W.H. "Chick" (Rita) Reeves; two nephews, Gary and Mike Reeves; one son-in-law, John Tatom; and a special friend, Lawrence Little.

Mrs. Pollard leaves two daughters, Ann Reeves Tatom and Dr. Kathleen Pollard;

Two grandsons, John (April) Tatom and Matthew Tatom; and

Two great-grandsons, Spencer Tatom and Miles Tatom.

A family graveside service will be held was held Saturday, Sept. 26, at LaGrange Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Jimmy Russell officiating. Cobb Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
