Jimmy R. Gill

Jimmy R. Gill, 76, of the Half Moon community, passed from this life Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Born in Blytheville to James and Mary Ann Henderson Gill, he was a truck driver and farmer. Jimmy was a member of the Dell Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

Mr. Gill was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Jayson Gill.

He is survived by his wife, Mattie (Young) Gill of the home;

His children, Cynthia Mishner of Leachville, Lynda Montelegrae of Waycross, Ga., James Gill III of Charlottesville, Va., Norma Jean Hines of Dell, Carol Ann Spence of Blytheville and Jennifer Goodman of Maumelle; and

Sixteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2 at Elmwood Cemetery in Blytheville. The family will receive friends from noon-1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Cobb Funeral Home.
