Judge "J.D." Parker, 89, of Blytheville, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at the V.A. Hospital in Little Rock.

Born in Burdette to the late Clarence Parker Sr. and Emma Lucille Branch Parker, he served the U.S. Navy in World War II, was a retired Kroger produce manager and a deacon at True Light MB Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charity Parker; three sisters, Ivory Adams, Dorothy Dabney and Georgia Neal; five brothers, Clarence Parker, James Parker, Otis Park, Julius Park and Thad Parker; and one adopted son, Renardy Fran-Joseph Parker.

He leaves behind seven daughters, Joyce Loyd of Memphis, Vernita Bynum of Denver, June (Eddie) Nolen of Blytheville, Queen (Ronald) Robinson of San Antonio, Sandra (David) Poole of North Little Rock, Erma (James) Hudson of Marion and Calaria (Lucien) Chauchard of Johannesburg, South Africa;

Five sisters, Lucille Smith of Blytheville, Louis Wick of St. Louis, Irma Jean Harris of Chicago, Beatrice Wyrick of Tucson, Ariz., and Bernice Neal of Osceola;

One brother, Finley Parker of Chicago;

One adopted grandson, Judge Dwayne Park of Atlanta; and

Eighteen grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, at True Light MB Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2 at St. Paul MB Church, with Pastor Jay Slaughter officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
