Perry Lynn Cude Sr.

Perry Lynn Cude Sr., 76, of Leachville, died Thursday, May 22, 2014, at the NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro.

Born in Leachville, he was the son of the late Johnny Cude and was a 1956 graduate of Leachville High School. Perry was a longtime employee for the former United Telephone Company and later worked as a sales representative for Snap On Tools. He enjoyed many hobbies, was an avid craftsman and was a member of the Monette Masonic Lodge No. 558. Perry was also a longtime member of the Leachville Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta Cornish Cude of the home;

Two sons, Lynn Cude of Los Angeles and John Cude of Santa Cruz, Calif.;

One daughter, Carol Hamrick of Hornersville;

His mother, Loudeen Cude Nolen of Leachville;

One brother, Jackie Cude of Hoxie; and

His granddaughter, Rachel Lynn Simmons of Jonesboro.

The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Mr. Raymond Lasley and Mr. Alvin Leach officiating. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from noon until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
