Douglas Wayne Dearen

Douglas Wayne Dearen, 61, of Caruthersville, Mo., passed away Monday, May 12, 2014, at his home. Born March 25, 1953, in Memphis, he was the son of the late James and Pearl Morgan Dearen. Mr. Dearen was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Dearen of the home; two sons, Erbie Dearen of Manila and Douglas Dearen of Caraway; two daughters, Angie Dearen and Candy Lomax and husband Wayne, all of Manila; two sisters, Regina Parsons and husband Thomas of Olive Branch, Miss., and Vivian McCalob of Martin, Tenn. Mr. Dearen also leaves seven grandsons, one granddaughter and a host of other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, J.L. Dearen, Kenneth Dearen, Richard Dearen and Danny Dearen; and two grandchildren, Brittni Lomax and Casey Lomax.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at the First Baptist Church in Manila with Bro. Mac McCalob officiating. Burial followed in Manila Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila. The family received visitors from 10 a.m. until noon Thursday at the church.

Pallbearers were Douglas Dearen, Wayne Lomax, Kenny Dearen and Darrel McCammon.
