Thelma Cason Price, 93, of Monette passed away Monday, April 14, 2014, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice in Jonesboro.

Born in Tuckerman, Aug. 20, 1920, Thelma lived msot of her life in Monette and was a member of Monette First Baptist Church. She loved gardening, sewing, baking and spending precious time with her family.

Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her husband, Elihue Price; son, Benny Hugh Price; her parents, John W. and Mae Hunter Cason; grandson, Hugh Douglas Miller; brothers, Neil, Johnny and Everett Cason; sisters, Willene Trammell, Ruby Veness and Hazel Wallace.

She is survived by her daughter, Dolores Price Miller of Monette; sister, Dorothy Stull of Illinois; beloved granddaughter, MaLeisa Finch (Allen) of Jonesboro, granddaugher, Holly Jackson (Dewight) of Manila, grandson, Ben Allen Price (Gena) of Crossett; great-grandchildren, Dustin Finch (Angela) of Jonesboro, Cassie Griffin (Derrick) of Jonesboro, Kourtnie Rose (Jonas) of Leachville, Emily and Zach Price of Crossett; daughter-in-law, Sue Price of Crossett; as well as seven great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Special thanks to the kind and caring staff of both Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House and Monette Manor.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Monette Cemetery, with Brother Rusty Bird officiating. Visitation will be held at Monette First Baptist Church on Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:45 a.m.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Bob Blankenship, Bob Chambers, Mike Wallace, Allen Finch, Ben Allen Price and Dustin Finch. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Dean Trammell and Zach Price.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Winsome Sunday School Class pantry fund of Monette First Baptist Church, Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House of Jonesboro, the Monette Fire and Rescue or a charity of the donors' choice.
