David Devoy Yancey, Sr.

David Devoy Yancey, Sr., 64 of Leachville, passed away Monday, March 3, 2014, at his home. Born Aug. 31, 1949, on Phoenix, Ariz., he was the son of the late Roy and Merttie Milam Yancey. Mr. Yancey was a member of the Milligan Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing billiards, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Claudia Yancey of the home; a son, David Devoy Yancey, Jr., of Jonesboro; two daughters, Donna Boatman and husband William of Caraway, and Lisa Rupp and husband Larry of Jonesboro; a brother, Troy Yancey and wife Judy of Manila; six step-sons, two step-daughters, 29-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

The family has requested private service and disposition under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila.
