Donna Kaye Moody

Mrs. Donna Kaye Moody, 60, of Blytheville, passed away early Monday morning, March 3, 2014, at her home. She was born May 13, 1953, in Blytheville, to William Boyd and Vashti Moody.

She was a licensed speech pathologist as well as a massage therapist. She worked for many years as an Early Interventionist for Speech/Language Pathology. Her interests took her all over the world. With her profession she was able to live in exciting places such as Colorado, Germany (for several years), and Alaska for over 20 years before returning to her hometown of Blytheville. In her time off from work she often traveled including places such as Hawaii and China.

She was very involved in the communities where she lived. In Anchorage, Alaska, she was an usher for 11 years for the Arts Center. She was often in charge of entertainment activities for different events. She served on the Board for Center for Spiritual Living.

She is preceded in death by her father, William Boyd Moody.

She is survived by her mother, Vashti Williamson of Blytheville;

Her three brothers, Kent Moody of Bono, Bryan (and Sandy Ashby) Moody of Gosnell, and Brandon Moody of Jonesboro;

Her three nephews, Sean (and Lori) Moody of Springfield, Mo., Jeremiah (and Debbie) Moody of Jonesboro and Christopher Moody of Bono;

One niece, Kiara (and Robert) Davis of Midway, Ark.

Bryan and Sandy were very special caregivers for her, and John Steinke was a very special friend to her.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, in Carney Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tommy Carney officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service begins. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.carneyfuneralhome.com
